A section of Chelsea FC fans have heaped praise on Willian, who has been one of Frank Lampard’s regulars for the Premier League and Champions League duties.
The Brazil international struggled with a hamstring concern before the start of the season and he was initially restricted to games off the substitutes’ bench.
However, he was soon integrated into the starting lineup in the Premier League and since then, he has started another seven top-flight games on the bounce amid the competition.
In a recent interview with DAZN, Willian confirmed that Barcelona were interested in signing him during the summer of 2018 but the Blues turned down the proposal.
The Brazilian added that he was ultimately pleased with the decision made by the club, given he is content plying his trade for the west London side while being comfortably settled with his family.
In response to this, a number of Chelsea FC fans have praised the experienced attacker and stated that he remains an important figure in the squad despite his trailing age.

Willian has just eight months remaining on his current Blues deal but he has frequently stated that he would prefer to pen a new contract beyond next summer.
He is currently looking for a multi-year contract but so far, the Blues have shown a reluctance to propose more than a year’s extension for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man.
