‘Totally confirmed’, Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea FC are set to agree deal with 22-year-old star

Reputed Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea FC are on the verge of committing Tammy Abraham to a new long-term contract.

The England international had spent the past three seasons on loan away from the club and he has made a sublime breakthrough this term under Frank Lampard.

Abraham had a rather slow beginning to the season as he failed to show in any of the opening three games but he has since found his touch and has netted nine goals across all competitions.

As a result, he is already regarded as the undisputed striker to lead the line under Lampard and the club are now seriously looking at extending his contract beyond June 2022.

Earlier in September, Romano confirmed that the Blues had opened contract talks with the young marksman and he has now revealed that the club are ‘more than confident’ of getting an agreement over the line.

Abraham’s proposed contract extension remains a no-brainer based on his performances this term but the onus is on the youngster to maintain the consistency through the course of the campaign.

The 22-year-old has previously starred with a couple of 20 plus goal seasons in the Championship and he now has the challenge to achieve the same statistic in the colours of Chelsea FC.
