Manchester United confident of reaching full agreement for second summer signing in the next 48 hours

Manchester United are reportedly confident of reaching a complete agreement with Crystal Palace over the signing of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The England under-21 international has been heavily linked with United in the past few weeks and The Mail claims that the club are set for showdown talks with the Eagles.

The same outlet claims that the Red Devils are confident of agreeing a deal worth £60m for the right-sided defender and the same could be made official in the next 48 hours.

Wan-Bissaka is currently on Euro under-21 duty with the Young Lions and it remains unclear whether he would be permitted to complete the necessary formalities at the midway stage of the competition.

The deal would potentially make Wan-Bissaka as the most-expensive right-back signing in the world and he should directly replace Ashley Young, who has been the subject of criticism from the fans.

Young was the regular in the right-back role through the previous campaign but a major section of the supporters were not impressed with his crossing attributes and defending in key situations.
