Manchester United are reportedly keen on wrapping up the signature of midfielder Bruno Fernandes and they are scheduled to hold a meeting with Sporting Lisbon regarding the same.
The Portugal international has come off a tremendous season on a personal scale with Sporting where he managed to contribute directly to 31 goals in the Primeira Liga last term.
As such, his stock has genuinely risen for the summer and A Bola claims that United are eager to secure his signature at the earliest opportunity amid the interest from other top sides.
As per the publication, United officials are scheduled to hold a meeting with the Sporting hierarchy within the ongoing week where they are prepared to discuss a transfer agreement for Fernandes.
Furthermore, it is reported that United would be willing to part with a sum between £62m and £71m for the playmaker, who is currently on Nations League duty with Portugal.
United have genuinely lacked the presence of a creative force from midfielder other than Pogba in their ranks, and Fernandes seems an ideal choice to sort out the concern ahead of next term.
The Portuguese has the versatility of playing in both the attacking and central midfield positions, but he has found more success while operating in the latter of those roles.
