‘United should buy him’, these Manchester United fans want club to sign experienced Chelsea FC star

A section of Manchester United fans have talked up the possibility of Olivier Giroud joining the club from Chelsea FC during the winter transfer window.

The 33-year-old has made just six appearances for the Blues this term and he has hardly featured in recent months with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi ahead of him in the selection order.

Since the summer, United have been heavily tipped to sign Mario Mandzukic from Juventus as they search for a targetman but some supporters believe Giroud could be more suited to the role.

Giroud is widely expected to part ways with the Blues in January and it is suggested that he could be available for around £5m with his existing deal due to expire at the end of the campaign.

For the past seven years, the Frenchman has proved a quality frontline option for both Arsenal and Chelsea FC, and it will be interesting to see whether he favours remaining in the English top-flight next year.
