Manchester United are reportedly making progress towards securing the signature of Nicolas Pepe after agreeing personal terms with the Ivory Coast international.
The 24-year-old has been heavily touted to join the Red Devils in the past few days and Football Insider claims that the club have finalised a five-year contract package with the winger with the option for another 12 months.
Still, the discussions are said to be ongoing with respect to the transfer fee and Lille have yet to give the indication that they would be willing to negotiate on the £70m price tag.
Meanwhile, reports elsewhere suggest that any move for Pepe could coincide with the departure of Romelu Lukaku, who has been tipped to join Inter Milan.
So far, the Serie A outfit have failed to meet United’s £75m asking price for the marksman but there is the growing optimism that they will eventually strike a deal for the player.
Pepe, who was recently part of the Ivorian national side at the African Cup of Nations, notched 22 goals and a further 11 assists for Lille in the French Ligue 1 last term.
