Italian journalist says La Liga star has passed Arsenal ‘Medical’ and agreed transfer

La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Emanuele Giulianelli has confirmed that Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has completed his medical with Arsenal and signed for them on a season-long loan.

The Gunners were reported to have agreed on a temporary deal for Ceballos on Tuesday and it appears that they have made swift progress to land his signature.

As per Giulianelli, the former Real Betis graduate has signed for the Gunners on loan after clearing his medical but the club have not been able to include a buy option in the move.

However, the north London giants are said to have the first refusal inserted meaning that they would be contacted at the beginning, should Los Blancos decide to sell the midfielder next summer.

With the arrival of Ceballos, the Gunners will be able to sort out the void left by the departure of Aaron Ramsey, who has joined Juventus on a free transfer this summer.

The Spaniard is comfortable playing in the central midfield or number 10 position and his versatility is something which has certainly played a part in Emery’s interest in landing him.
