Manchester United set to land second summer signing after agreeing £55m deal

Manchester United are understood to be on the cusp of landing their second summer signing after agreeing a deal worth £55m for the services of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The England under-21 international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prioritising the recruitment of a new right-sided defender this summer.

According to Daily Record’s Duncan Castles, the Red Devils are said to have eventually agreed on a transfer fee with Crystal Palace following weeks of negotiations with the south London side.

The Mancunian giants had initially failed with an offer worth £40m for the defender and it was thereafter suggested that the Eagles want at least £60m for their graduate.

However, it appears that the clubs have eventually agreed at the midpoint and a £55m move should witness Wan-Bissaka become the most-expensive right-back signing in the history of the game.

Wan-Bissaka is currently on Euro under-21 duty with the Young Lions and practically, he is unlikely to put pen-to-paper on a deal with the Red Devils until he returns from the continental competition.
