‘Killer mentality’, ‘Exciting’, these Arsenal fans praise one player after Standard Liege draw

Some Arsenal fans have praised the showing of Bukayo Saka during the closing phase of the 2-2 Europa League draw against Standard Liege on the road last night.

The Gunners were pretty average with their attacking display during the course of the game and their defence was likewise far from impressive with the likes of David Luiz and Sokratis failing to impress.

As a result, the club found themselves under pressure with Liege scoring twice in the second half before the 70th minute and there was the fear that the Gunners could potentially go out of the competition at one stage.

However, any uncertainty was put to bed with Saka delivering a pin-point cross for Alexandre Lacazette to head in a goal and shortly after, the club graduate took it upon himself to find the net.

The youngster, who initially started at left wing-back, combined splendidly with substitute Gabriel Martinelli and he eventually scored with an impressive curling effort with his weak right foot.

The Capital outfit could not secure the three points on the night but a number of Gunners fans were undoubtedly pleased with the efforts of Saka, who has struggled for form over the past few months.
