West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has said that he has the ability to play for a club of Manchester United’s calibre and would prefer a move to Old Trafford in the long run.
The England international has already established himself as a regular in the Hammers ranks and during the recent transfer window, he was one of the names associated with the Red Devils.
When asked about a future move to Old Trafford, Rice has acknowledged that he has the credentials to meet the demands of United, though he is not looking into a transfer at the present point of time.
He added that there is plenty of time to secure a big club move and he is presently focused on developing into a better footballer while playing for the Hammers.
He told Four Four Two: “Don’t get me wrong, I think I’ve got the ability to play for a club like that. But it’s all about the timing and I don’t think the timing is right for me at all. I’ve still got so much to learn.”
Rice is presently with the England national side for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo. He has earned three caps with the Three Lions to date.
