Manchester United have reportedly increased their efforts to secure the signature of Daniel James from Swansea City after knowing of the transfer interest from AS Monaco.
The Mancunian giants have been touted to sign James since the end of last month and they were initially hoping to land him for around 10 million pounds with his contract entering the final year.
However, according to Evening Standard, it appears that United may have to pay much more than initially planned with the Swans getting to know of the interest from Monaco.
The same publication adds that the Red Devils have sped up the negotiations with the Swans regarding the youngster and they are confident of landing his signature in the near future.
James made his breakthrough for the Swans during the recent Championship campaign where he bagged five goals and eight assists across all competitions for the team.
He has generally found success on the left side of the attack but has shown his versatility of playing in a number of positions including the centre-forward and right-wing role.
