Manchester United ready to agree deal for £36m striker to replace Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United are reportedly holding a keen interest in landing the signature of Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla as they seek to potentially replace Romelu Lukaku in their ranks.

The Red Devils are said to be considering the future of Lukaku and reports have recently emerged that Inter Milan could lure him from the club, provided they meet the asking price.

Amidst this, there have been a number of forwards linked and according to ABC Sevilla, Ben Yedder seems the prime centre-forward target for the current transfer window.

Ben Yedder has come off a stellar season with Sevilla where he notched 30 goals in all competitions and this has recently witnessed him earn another call-up to the France national side.

The former Bordeaux man is said to have a £36m release clause on his contract and it is claimed that he is very much to the liking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, given he would offer a more mobile presence upfront.

Aside from United, Paris Saint-Germain have also been associated with the marksman, but the lack of assurances over the gametime could aide the Red Devils in the quest to land the Frenchman.
