Chelsea FC have six days to complete signing of £45m-rated star

Chelsea FC are currently pondering over the prospect of signing midfielder Mateo Kovacic on a permanent basis from Real Madrid this summer.

The Blues are presently banned from pursuing new recruits for the next 12 months but they still have the chance of converting any loan deals into permanent ones.

According to AS, the Blues have the opportunity to secure the permanent signing of Kovacic this summer, considering he has already been registered in the club’s ranks.

The same publication claims that Los Blancos want around £45m for the midfielder, though the Blues must act before the expiry of the player’s loan contract at the end of the month.

As such, the west London giants don’t have much time to ponder over the same but reports suggest that they may delay the decision until the final moment, considering they are yet to recruit a new head coach.

Club legend Frank Lampard has been widely backed to take over the managerial hot seat but so far, the club have not managed to convince Derby County to release him with a compensation package.
