Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants £34.6m winger as first signing, if he is made permanent boss

Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to pursue the services of Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven, should he secure the permanent head coach position.

The Norwegian has transformed United’s fortunes since their decision to dismiss Jose Mourinho in December and the club are currently just two points behind the top four.

According to CalcioNapoli24, Ole has already made up his probable shortlist for the summer with Lozano being earmarked as the prime target to bolster the frontline.

It is added that the club have given the green light to sanction Alexis Sanchez’s sale and the Chilean’s departure will help them recoup part of the £34.6m sum required to sign Lozano this summer.

Lozano is comfortable playing on both wings but he has been more effective on the right side of the attack which has proved a problematic position for United in recent years.

Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Sanchez have all taken turns to feature in the position but none have been able to produce a regular threat while starting in the role.

Lozano has contributed 17 goals and seven assists for PSV this campaign.
