Manchester United ‘confident’ of landing £80m first summer signing

Manchester United are reportedly moving on the right track to lure teenage sensation Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the campaign.

The teenager has been a revelation since moving away from Manchester City in 2017 and he has already notched a combined 30 goals and assists for Dortmund.

According to Evening Standard, United are showing the right signals to sign the highly-rated Englishman, who is currently the season’s highest assist-maker across Europe’s top-five leagues.

Dortmund have shown a reluctant to sanction the player’s sale in the past but the report suggests that a fee of around £80m plus should convince them to part ways with their prized asset.

The right wing position has been a cause of concern for United over the past few years but they should find the solution with Sancho, who has amassed seven goals and six assists from the position this season.

Sancho is currently with the England national side for the Euro 2020 qualifiers and he could make his competition debut against Czech Republic from the off with Marcus Rashford struggling with an injury.
