Good News for Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain suffer possible double injury blow ahead of Champions League clash

Manchester United may have received a boost in their prospects of beating Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League after both Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier were hauled off the pitch against Bordeaux with injury concerns.

Les Parisiens are already without Neymar following a recurrence of his foot injury and it appears that he could be joined by Cavani, who suffered a thigh problem right before the close of half-time.

Meanwhile, the Capital outfit also have concerns regarding the fitness of Thomas Meunier after the Belgian asked to be substituted during the final 10 minutes of the game after a clash of heads.

When United were initially pitted against Les Parisiens, very few gave them the chance, given their struggles to garner regular wins under ex-boss Jose Mourinho.

However, with the Portuguese’s sacking, United have been on the uptrend under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and they are currently unbeaten in 11 successive games which includes 10 wins.

As such, the injuries to the PSG duo should give them a handy advantage when they host Thomas Tuchel’s men in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday night.
