Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to hold a keen interest in landing Reece James from Chelsea during this summer’s transfer window.
The 19-year-old recently spent an entire season on loan with Wigan Athletic where he was awarded with the Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Year accolades.
Owing to the progress, he has been backed to earn a first-team place with the Blues next term, but it appears that they could be the offering to leave the Capital outfit this summer.
According to The Sun, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has been impressed with the developments of the right-sided defender and he is keen on luring him to the King Power Stadium.
However, he could face stiff competition from the Red Devils with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also said to be an admirer of the former Blues youth captain.
United are likely to pursue a right-back this summer with the expected exits of Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian while Ashley Young has shown signs of fading with his trailing age.
Ole could still back on the services of Diogo Dalot and Axel Tuanzebe next term, but reports indicate that they have a chance of signing James, who could be available for around £15m this summer.
