Everton are reportedly planning a winter approach for Michy Batshuayi, who is scheduled to return from an unsuccessful loan move with Valencia.
The Belgium international joined the Mestalla outfit on a season-long loan during the summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea.
However, his stint with the La Liga club has been far from successful with just three goals in all competitions and their sporting director Mateu Alemany has recently confirmed that the temporary deal will be terminated.
Amidst this, there have already been multiple European clubs linked with the former Marseille graduate but Goal.com claims that Everton could seek to pound on the player’s signature this month.
It is added that the Merseysiders would prefer a permanent move for the marksman and they could be prepared to offer as much as £18m to the west London outfit.
Everton have struggled to find a regular striker to impress upfront this term with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun struggling to score goals on a regular basis.
As such, Richarlison has been tasked to lead the line on occasions, although the Brazilian is much comfortable featuring from the left side of the Toffees attack.
