Chelsea ready to make £50m move for Premier League striker on one condition

Chelsea could reportedly shift their focus towards signing Callum Wilson from Bournemouth, should they fail to acquire the services of Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain.

The west London side are desperate to recruit a new marksman during the winter period and Higuain, who has previously worked under Sarri at Napoli has been earmarked as the prime option.

However, the deal remains complicated with AC Milan remaining reluctant to terminate their existing loan contract with the Argentine and this could shift the Blues’ interest elsewhere.

According to Sky Sports News, the Capital outfit are looking into potential alternatives for the Argentine and Wilson has been identified as a probable option to bolster the frontline.

It is added that the Blues could be prepared to make an offer worth £50m for the striker, although it remains unclear whether Bournemouth would be willing to sanction the Englishman’s sale.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe has previously clarified that the marksman is unlikely to leave the club at the midway stage but the transfer package on offer could tempt them into doing business.
