Arsenal agree personal terms with highly-rated La Liga midfielder

Arsenal are reportedly making steady progress towards signing Denis Suarez after agreeing personal terms with the Barcelona midfielder.

The Spain international has been heavily touted to leave the Blaugrana this month after managing just 17 minutes of league action through the current season.

According to Marca, the midfielder has already agreed terms with the Gunners regarding the salary package but the north London side have yet to reach a transfer agreement with the Spanish champions.

Barcelona are said to want between £9m and £13.5m for the former Villareal man but the Gunners are currently not able to make the offer amid the tight budget for the season.

Instead, they are looking to agree on a loan deal with the obligation to buy, although the same does not appear to suit the Spanish outfit, who are prepared to part ways with Suarez once and for all.

Suarez has also been the subject of interest from fellow Premier League side West Ham United but he has clearly rejected the approach with the aim of reuniting with ex-Sevilla boss Unai Emery at Arsenal.
