Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has thanked the Gunners fans following the club’s frustrating 2-2 Premier League against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The north London giants had the chance to end a seven-match losing run on Sunday but that did not happen as they were made to settle for a 2-2 scoreline on the road.
Aubameyang was certainly one of the star performers with two goals but the Gunners were more grateful for Bernd Leno between the sticks as he made six saves including a string of superb stops in the second half.
Following the game, Aubameyang was in good spirits despite the result and he thanked the supporters for backing the team, which has gone through one of their worst spells in their top-flight history.
Here is Aubameyang’s post on Twitter:
Arsenal’s draw against Norwich keeps them in the eighth position on the table and they are now within seven points off Chelsea, who are occupying the final Champions League qualification spot.
Next up, they have a midweek home game against Brighton & Hove Albion and the game won’t be straightforward, particularly with the defensive concerns emanating at the club.
