Manchester United are understood to be in pole position to land the signature of midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon this summer.
The Red Devils have been constantly linked with the Portuguese during the summer transfer window and it has come to the time where the speculation has become repetitive.
Amidst this, a fresh report from A Bola translated by Sport Witness suggests that United are still favourites to land the services of the 24-year-old ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Sporting are currently said to value their midfielder at around £63m but they could be prepared to accept a fee between £46m and £50m for the Portuguese, who seems ready for a bigger challenge.
No bids have been made at the moment but A Bola suggests that one could be imminent from United in the next few days with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on finalising the deal at the earliest possibility.
Fernandes, who has rejoined his teammates at Sporting for pre-season, bagged a stunning tally of 20 goals and 13 assists in the Portuguese top-flight last term.
