Arsenal have reportedly agreed personal terms with highly-rated French forward Alexis Claude-Maurice, who is currently in the ranks of Lorient.

The north London giants are understood to have failed with two bids of £10m and £14.2m for the youngster, but they are set to make a third offer which may probably come close to Lorient’s £17.8m price tag.
Claude-Maurice had an impressive 2018/19 season with Lorient in Ligue 2 and he contributed a tally of 14 goals and four assists while being a regular feature on the left side of the attack.
The same area has been a problematic position for the Gunners with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan misfiring, and the youngster could prove a bargain, should he quickly adapt to the Premier League.
At present, the Gunners are yet to formally reach a transfer agreement with Alexis, but Sky Sports claims that they have the advantage with the player favouring a move to the Emirates.
