Premier League side Crystal Palace have reportedly told Manchester United that they would have to come up with a bid of around £70m to secure the signature of Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
The England youth international has been earmarked as one of the leading targets for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the focus on strengthening the squad with young and quality British talent.
However, it appears that the right-back won’t come on the cheap with a £40m bid already rejected and The Mail claims that the Eagles won’t entertain anything less than £70m for their graduate.
United have been known to spend massive sums on top-class talents in recent years but the same appears unlikely this summer with both Ole and the hierarchy reluctant to do so.
As such, it remains to be seen whether the club will be tempted to come close to the Eagles’ valuation for Wan-Bissaka, who has just completed his first full season with the first-team.
United do have an alternative choice in place in the form of Thomas Meunier from Paris Saint-Germain and the club could be available for a relatively cheap price of £25m.
