Since then, there has been regular speculation regarding his future with his contract expiring in 12 months’ time and the attacker now appears to have provided the condition to pen fresh terms.

According to The Sun, the 18-year-old is said to want assurances of regular first-team football in order to accept the five-year contract proposal on the table.

The same outlet reveals that the attacker is waiting for the managerial uncertainty to be resolved with Maurizio Sarri expected to part ways with the club this month.

Blues legend Frank Lampard remains the outright favourite to take up the managerial role with the west London giants after enjoying an impressive first season in management with Championship side Derby County.
