A selection of Arsenal fans believe the club should pursue the services of West Bromwich Albion attacker Matheus Pereira this summer.
The Brazilian had a productive debut season in the Premier League last term, registering 11 goals and six assists from 33 appearances.
Despite his efforts, the Baggies were relegated without much of a fight. The attacker is now looking for a fresh challenge elsewhere.
He has now released a statement revealing his desire to move on. However, he added that he would like to leave the Midlands outfit with grace.
This has caught the eye of some Gunners fans. A few believe Pereira would be a quality attacking addition.
The Gunners are actively searching for a creative midfielder, but they have been linked with the likes of James Maddison and Martin Odegaard.
Maddison could cost a staggering sum of £70m. On the other hand, they could have the opportunity to re-sign Odegaard for a fee of around £42m.
In comparison to the duo, Pereira could be available for an affordable fee of £22m. The Gunners are not making any moves to sign him at the moment.
The 25-year-old does not have a big reputation like Maddison or Odegaard, but he showed that he can do the job in the top-flight last season.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners enter the pursuit. West Ham United are leading the race to sign Pereira, who can play anywhere in the attack.
He has also been linked with a big-money move to Al Hilal. The Saudi Arabian giants have yet to meet the price tag to sign the former Sporting man.
