Arsenal join Tottenham Hotspur in race to sign 21-goal striker, asking price set at €60m

Arsenal have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, Gianluca Di Marzio claims.

The Serbian had an impressive 2020/21 campaign for La Viola, bagging 21 goals from 37 Serie A outings.

He has been touted for a big-club move this summer, but the Serie A outfit won’t sell him cheaply.

Spurs have been linked with him, but a deal may depend on Harry Kane’s exit from the club.

Hence, Arsenal could be leading the pursuit of the 21-year-old, who has seven international caps.

Vlahovic’s agent is due to meet with La Viola’s representatives to discuss a potential summer exit.

The Florence outfit are expected to demand around €60m for the highly-rated marksman.

Vlahovic has a strong aerial presence at 1.9m, and he is a traditional centre-forward.

The Serbian likes to stay in and around the box, and has impressed with his finishing.

He could be compared with Olivier Giroud, but has gifted pace to launch a counter-attack.

The Gunners may need to recoup funds to afford him, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could be sold.

The club also have Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez on their radar, but a deal could be unlikely.

The Serie A giants recently sanctioned Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea.

They may be reluctant to lose both of their main strikers in the same transfer window.
