Havertz and Werner start, Strongest Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-3-3) vs Everton

Chelsea will be aiming to continue their nine-match unbeaten run in the Premier League when they face Everton on the road in today’s late kick-off.

The west London side are currently two points behind Tottenham Hotspur for the top spot and they can temporarily take the lead with a win at Goodison Park.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Chelsea Line-up:

Edouard Mendy is the Blues’ undisputed choice in goal ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga and he is expected to start.

In the defence, it should be the same backline as last weekend. Reece James and Ben Chilwell will feature in right and left-back roles.

At the heart of the backline, Kurt Zouma should once again partner Thiago Silva, who was been one of the signings of the season.

In the centre of the park, N’Golo Kante is expected to retain his position as the holding midfielder.

Ahead of him, there should be starts for Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic.

In the absence of Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi through injury, Kai Havertz may play in a more advanced right-wing role.

Christian Pulisic had a minor hamstring concern last weekend and Frank Lampard may be wary of starting him.

Hence, we are backing Timo Werner to retain his position on the left side of the attack.

Olivier Giroud should certainly lead the line after bagging five goals from his previous two starts for the club.

The Frenchman should have scored more than once against Leeds last week, if it was not for Werner’s interception.

Predicted Chelsea Line-up (4-3-3): Edouard Mendy; Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell; N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount; Kai Havertz, Olivier Giroud, Timo Werner
