Transfer Ban appeal: When Chelsea FC will know the verdict of their case

Chelsea FC are set to know the verdict of their transfer ban appeal in the next two to three weeks after successfully presenting their case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Wednesday.

The west London side were imposed with a two-window transfer embargo by FIFA earlier this year and the Blues decided against freezing the ban to recruit new players during the summer.

As a result, they have already served part of the sanction and it will be known whether their ban is reduced when the outcome of their transfer ban appeal is known next month.

In the past, Real Madrid have had their case resorted within a week’s time but Sky Sports claims that the Blues may have to wait between 14 to 21 days to know whether they have won their case.

Should the verdict go in their favour, the club would be permitted to make signings in the New Year and that could permit Frank Lampard to spend on particular areas where he feels the need to bolster at the midway stage of the season.
