Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has heaped praise on his former club Chelsea FC, who have defied the early season odds to enjoy a brilliant beginning to the Premier League campaign.
The Blues parted ways with both Hazard and manager Maurizio Sarri during the summer and that was followed by the recruitment of club legend Frank Lampard as the new head coach.
The west London giants did not experience the best of starts to the season as they struggled to secure regular victories but over the past few months, their fortunes have drastically changed under Lampard’s guidance.
Chelsea FC are presently positioned third on the table with a healthy nine-point advantage over fifth-placed Sheffield United and Hazard is definitely pleased with how things have paved following his exit.
“We all know Willian, Jorginho they are very good. Also with the young players coming through, it is great to see the club high and I hope they can stay there,” he told.
Chelsea FC return from the international break with an away game at Manchester City and they need to play to the best of their abilities in order to register an eight successive victory on the road.
The Blues have won their last six games in the Premier League but they had a forgettable trip to the Etihad last season where they suffered an embarrassing 6-0 rout.
