Strongest Predicted Chelsea FC lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Lille, Mount and Hudson-Odoi start

Chelsea FC have the opportunity to register a third straight victory in all competitions when they face French side Lille on the road in the Champions League.

The Blues have already succumbed to a home defeat to Valencia in the competition opener and they need to pick up a positive result at Lille in order to avoid playing catch up for the top two positions to progress to the knockout phase.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga is the undisputed choice in goal for the league and European duties and he will feature between the sticks on Wednesday night.

In the defence, no changes are expected. Fikayo Tomori and Andreas Christensen remain the best options at the manager’s disposal at centre-back while Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, who is deputising for the injured Emerson should keep their full-back roles.

In the midfield, Lampard may opt to go with a two-man partnership, particularly with Ross Barkley struggling to impress. Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic should definitely occupy the positions with N’Golo Kante unlikely to be risked following his hamstring niggle.

Further forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi could start on the left wing on the back of his impressive Premier League cameo against Brighton, where he contributed an assist. Mason Mount should feature in the number 10 role with Willian on the right wing following his first goal of the season last weekend.

Upfront, Tammy Abraham should automatically make the lineup on the basis of the recent exploits. The England international can’t rest on his laurels, however, with Michy Batshuayi waiting to pounce on any drop in the performance levels.
