Michael Owen states his prediction for Manchester United vs Liverpool

Former Liverpool and Manchester United star Michael Owen has delivered his prediction ahead of the Premier League clash between his former sides on Sunday.

The Red Devils have endured a frustrating start to the Premier League campaign and they have registered just nine points from the opening eight matches.

In comparison, Liverpool are cruising at the top of the table and they are already eight points ahead of the Citizens and a further seven ahead of their arch-rivals United.

Ahead of the Reds clash, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed a couple of key injury blows with both David de Gea and Paul Pogba out of contention and that will no doubt make their challenge tougher this weekend.

Writing on the Bet Victor Blog, Owen said that Jurgen Klopp’s side clearly have the advantage over an injury-plagued United and they should have ‘too much pace and aggression’ for the hosts.

The ex-England international has backed the Reds to secure the three points and match Manchester City’s record of 18 consecutive wins in the Premier League.
