Manchester United have been offered with the opportunity to secure the signature of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio during the summer’s transfer window.
The Serbian was valued in upwards of £130m by Lazio during the summer of 2018, but it appears that the club have lowered their asking price as they seek to make a significant profit from the midfielder’s sale.
According to Calciomercato, the 24-year-old is no longer regarded as an indispensable figure with the Rome-based outfit and they are prepared to listen to offers of around £90m for his services.
The same outlet has claimed that United are one of the admirers, although any deal for the Serbian may be dependent on the future of French midfielder Paul Pogba.
Pogba has been widely tipped to join Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reiterated that the midfielder remains committed to the club.
United are understood to have placed a hefty £162m price tag on the head of Pogba and it remains to be seen whether they are able to sway away the interest from the Bernabeu giants.
Milikovic-Savic, on the other hand, has built his reputation on his strong physical presence and distribution from the centre of the park, and it remains to be seen whether United make an approach irrespective of Pogba’s situation.
