Ole Gunnar Solskjaer identifies £35.6m favourite to lead the attack

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly understood to hold a keen interest in signing Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla during the ongoing transfer window.

The Frenchman has come off a splendid season with Sevilla where he bagged 30 goals and 11 assists and this has recently earned him a call-up to the national team.

According to Seville outlet La Colina de Nervión, United are understood to be one of the most interested clubs in the marksman, who has transformed his career at the Andalusian outfit.

Furthermore, it is claimed that he is one of the favourites for Ole and United may not have any trouble in landing him, provided they match the £35.6m release clause on his existing deal.

United are currently pondering over the future of Romelu Lukaku and reports have indicated that he could be shown the exit door after a disappointing season where he bagged just 15 goals.

The Belgian is presently attracting interest from Inter Milan in the Serie A and his sale should offer United with more than sufficient funds to land Ben Yedder to Old Trafford.
