Not Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United ready to pay £65m for £90,000-a-week star

Manchester United are reportedly willing to part way with a sum of around £65m in order to secure the signature of Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with the England international during the 2018 summer transfer window but the defender instead opted to sign a new long-term deal with the Foxes.

Despite this, the speculation over the defender’s future has refused to cease and Sky Sports News claims that both United and arch-rivals Manchester City are willing to pay around £65m to lure him from the King Power Stadium.

Nonetheless, the offer continues to remain below the Foxes’ £80m price tag, according to multiple outlets, and it has been stated that the east Midlands side are in no hurry to part ways with the defender.

Maguire is said to hold the ambition of featuring for an elite European side but it is suggested that the £90,000-a-week star may not force through an exit, should the Foxes decline him a transfer this summer.
