Manchester United make final transfer decision on Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have reportedly decided to give up on the prospect of signing Jadon Sancho this summer after acknowledging that they are unlikely to tempt Borussia Dortmund into a sale.

Sancho is regarded as one of England’s most promising young talents and he contributed a stunning tally of 12 goals and 14 assists for Dortmund in the recently-concluded league campaign.

As such, there has been plenty of speculation regarding his future but time and time again, Dortmund have indicated that the former Manchester City graduate won’t be sold this summer.

According to Evening Standard, the Red Devils are aware of the difficult situation with respect to Sancho and they have seemingly admitted defeat in signing him during the current transfer window.

It is added that the club are facing the same situation with respect to midfielder Declan Rice, considering the Englishman only recently penned a new long-term deal with West Ham United.

Both Rice and Sancho have made the step to the England national side in the past few months and they were in action during the Nations League semi-final loss to Netherlands on Thursday.
