Done deal: Dutch wonderkid confirms Manchester United transfer, provides social media update

Ajax wonderkid Dillon Hoogewerf has confirmed that he has agreed to join Manchester United following an impressive season with the Dutch club’s Under 17 side.

The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of the promising talents coming through the system at the Eredivisie outfit and he contributed 10 goals and six assists for the Under 17s last term.

Earlier last month, Ajax had confirmed that the youngster would be parting ways with the club and Hoogewerf has now gone further to confirm that he would be plying his trade for United next season.

Hoogewerf has practically become United’s first signing under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but based on recent history, the teenager is likely to feature for the reserve team for the 2019/2020 campaign.

The likes of Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong have been highly rated through the youth ranks and there are more possibilities of the duo making their mark with the first-team next term.
