Arsenal confident of agreeing deal for 22-year-old star

Arsenal are reportedly confident that their renewed offer for Kieran Tierney would be sufficient to convince Celtic into a transfer agreement.

The Capital outfit have already failed with an £15m bid for the left-back but The Record claims that they are ready to come up with a fresh £20m offer in the next 48 hours.

The same publication claims that the package is below the Hoops’ £25m asking price, though the Gunners have the confidence of persuading the Scottish champions with their second bid.

Arsenal possess the services of Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac on the left side of the backline but the former has shown a dip in terms of the performances in the past year.

Similarly, Kolasinac has produced admirable performances on the attack but when defending, he has showcased flaws which seem to have triggered the need for a new competitor.

Should the Gunners seal an agreement, the future of Monreal could come under consideration, given he is attracting interest from Athletic Bilbao as he enters the final 12 months of his deal.
