Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly prepared to part ways with Joao Cancelo with Manchester United said to hold a keen interest in signing the Portugal international.
The Red Devils have kept a keen eye on the right-sided defender since his Valencia days and Calciomercato via TeamTALK reports that they could eventually secure his services this summer.
According to the publication, the Bianconeri are prepared to do business with United for the right-back, should the Red Devils agree to match the player’s £52m price tag.
Furthermore, it is suggested that Cancelo would likewise favour the move to Old Trafford this summer, considering he has not enjoyed the best of relationships with Bianconeri boss Max Allegri.
Ashley Young has been the Red Devils’ regular choice on the right side of the defence, but he has been largely inconsistent which was the case during the recently-concluded league campaign.
United have Diogo Dalot as a valuable back-up behind the Englishman but they appear keen on a young and experienced option, who can be effective on both ends of the field.
Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia have been the other choices for United at right-back this season, but the duo are expected to part ways with the club in the next few weeks.
