Jose Mourinho reveals the one problem with Gonzalo Higuain at Chelsea

Former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has backed Gonzalo Higuain to thrive at Stamford Bridge despite lacking the physical condition to work in the Premier League.

The Argentine made the temporary move from Juventus in last January and he has since been a decent success with three goals – the recent of which came during the 2-1 win at Fulham on Sunday.

Speaking on BEIN Sports, via Metro, Mourinho has acknowledged that his former player has the natural ability to score but that does not hide the fact that he is still lacking the physical condition to suit the Blues.

“Higuain just arrived at the club. The only thing I can say about Higuain because he was my player at Real Madrid, is that he knows how to score a goal. ‘Is he in his best physical condition? I don’t think so,” he said.

Chelsea are currently two points off the top four following the hard-fought win at Fulham but they do have a game in hand to capitalise upon when compared to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
