Manchester City have received a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea FC with both David Silva and Ederson returning to regular training.
Ederson picked up a thigh problem during the recent Champions League outing versus Atalanta but Guardiola had revealed that the Brazilian had not suffered any major concern.
On the other hand, Silva had been struggling with a muscular concern over the past few weeks but he has likewise linked up in training ahead of the weekend’s clash against the Blues.
In a report covered by M.E.N, both players have been confirmed to have returned to training but it remains up to Guardiola to decide whether the duo will make the matchday squad for the forthcoming league clash.
The Cityzens are already nine points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the league standings and they can’t afford drop further behind with the Reds showing no signs of slowing down at the moment.
The Premier League holders registered a comfortable 6-0 triumph over Chelsea FC at the Etihad Stadium last term but things certainly won’t be easy this time around with the Blues in red hot form.
The west London giants have registered six league wins on the bounce. Most importantly, they have excelled on the road with seven victories on the trot, which has equaled a club record set before the Premier League era.
