A section of Chelsea FC fans have urged the club to make the move for Ben Chilwell from Leicester City once they are able to overcome their transfer ban.
The Blues have an appeal over their embargo on November 20 and reports indicate that they are confident of winning their case which would permit them to sign new players in January.
As a result, there have been a number of targets mentioned in the media and Chilwell has been one of those, who has been eyed to bolster the club’s backline.
The Foxes star has been a consistent performer for club and country in the past year and he bagged three assists during England’s 7-0 thumping of Montenegro in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Thursday.
The performance has certainly impressed a few of the Blues fans and some of them believe it’s a no-brainer for the club to pursue Chilwell when their ban ceases in either January or next summer.
Twitter Reactions:
The 22-year-old has more than four years remaining on his existing deal with Brendan Rodgers’ side and Chelsea FC may need to come up with a near club-record bid in order to prise him away from the Foxes.
