Chelsea FC have the opportunity to secure a second-straight league win when they host Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The west London side have registered just four points from their opening three league games but they have a chance to make ground on the top four with a solid display against the Blades.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Lineup:
Blues boss Frank Lampard has been content with a settled combination at the back and no changes are likely. German centre-back Antonio Rudiger is still working on his fitness after a long-term injury while Marcos Alonso seems out of favour under the new head coach.
In the midfield, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will continue to take part with N’Golo Kante doubtful with an ankle sprain. The Frenchman has recently been rested from France duties and it is likely that he may not return until after the international break.
In the attack front, there may be a slight change in formation with Ross Barkley featuring in an advanced position. We are fancying the England international on the left wing with Christian Pulisic on the right while Mason Mount should feature just behind the main striker.
Tammy Abraham scored a stunning brace which contributed towards the first win under Lampard. The young marksman should get the nod over Olivier Giroud once again to lead the line. He may, however, face a physical battle this time around with Sheffield unlikely to offer the same amount of freedom like Norwich City last weekend.
How Chelsea FC could line up against Sheffield United: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma, Emerson, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham
