Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, Il Messaggero claims.
Roma recently agreed a package of around €40m for Abraham, but the striker has yet to negotiate personal terms.
It is now reported that Mikel Arteta has made a personal call to lure Abraham to the Gunners this summer.
The striker also fancies a move to the north London giants, but the club need to recoup funds first.
They may need to offload Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah before landing his signature.
Unlike Roma, the Gunners don’t face any stumbling block over personal terms as they have already been agreed.
It remains to be seen how this transfer saga proceeds.
Chelsea want to avoid selling Abraham to the Gunners, who are their fierce Premier League rivals.
However, the striker has the preference to join them. The Gunners were his boyhood club.
Whatever happens, the Blues are looking to offload him this summer to recoup funds for new signings.
The European champions are set to re-sign Romelu Lukaku for a club-record €115m this week.
