Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided a fresh fitness update ahead of the club’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers this evening.
The Blues have missed the services of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi due to hamstring injuries in recent games, but the former is available to face the Wolves.
Pulisic was out of the matchday squad for the Everton defeat with a minor hamstring issue, but he has returned to training and has been deemed to face the west Midlands outfit.
Lampard previously stated that Ziyech and Hudson-Odoi could be out of action for a couple of weeks and he has revealed that there are no positive news on them.
“He trained when we played against Everton on that day and it’s felt better, so he’s in the squad for tomorrow. Yet to be decided if he starts or not but it’s obviously positive news from where it was at the weekend,” He told.
Pulisic may be restricted to a substitute role at the Molineux, considering he has just recovered from the latest muscular setback and Lampard will be wary over his match fitness.
Chelsea are currently fifth in the league standings with 22 points, but they are only three adrift of the top of the table. A victory can take them to second, if the other results go their way.
