‘Please leave my club’, ‘Sell him’, some Chelsea fans are angry with 25-year-old star after Liverpool loss

A selection of Chelsea fans have expressed their frustration over the performance of Kepa Arrizabalaga as the club suffered a 5-3 defeat to Liverpool on the road last night.

The west London giants needed a point from the game to secure their Champions League berth for next term, but that was not meant to be as the holders returned to winning ways.

Arrizabalaga could not do much to deny Naby Keita’s stellar goal from outside the box in the 23rd minute, but some supporters believe he should have done better with the other shots on goal.

The 25-year-old has the lowest save percentage among the regular Premier League goalkeepers this term and it appears that he is short of confidence at the present point of time.

The Spaniard allowed five goals at Anfield on Wednesday night, but could have quite easily conceded a sixth after he allowed Virgil van Dijk a free shot on goal despite being urged to gather the ball by his teammates.

The Blues need a draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final matchday to secure a top-four spot, suppose the other game between Leicester City and Manchester United ends in a draw or a win for the Foxes.

Frank Lampard will, however, want a victory from his side ahead of the FA Cup final and it remains to be seen whether Kepa will keep his place ahead of Willy Caballero in goal.
