Manchester United are scheduled to host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League tonight. The Red Devils are likely to witness the possible returns of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic but they are, however, without Anthony Martial, who has sustained a muscular concern in the lead up to the contest.
Formation: 3-4-3
Predicted Lineup:
David de Gea remains the undisputed choice between the sticks and he is expected to start. At the back, Solskjaer is likely to prefer more protection and that could see a three-man central defence. Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Axel Tuanzebe are certainly the leading picks for those roles.
At right wing-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka should keep his place but we are anticipating a change on the opposite end with Ashley Young coming in for Brandon Williams. Williams has looked vulnerable with the defensive side of his game and Young’s experience could be preferred.
In the midfield, Scott McTominay is likely to return following his recovery from an ankle concern. He could be accompanied by Fred. Nemanja Matic is a 50/50 for the clash but Fred may get the nod, considering he has a better work rate than the Serbian, who has been absent with an undefined injury for nearly two months.
In the attack, Martial is definitely sidelined with a muscular problem. In his absence, Marcus Rashford should lead the line and he could be flanked by Daniel James and Jesse Lingard. Lingard has not been in the best of form over the past year but Solskjaer has often preferred him for the big games due to his work rate and high pressing.
Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3): De Gea, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay, Fred, Young, James, Lingard, Rashford
