A selection of Chelsea FC supporters have called for Frank Lampard to drop one of his favourites following the club’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to West Ham United on Saturday.
The Blues suffered a third winless game on the bounce at the weekend and there were a number of players, who came under the pressure for their average performances.
Among those, Mount seems to have frustrated some of the club’s faithful after struggling to make an impact from the number 10 role in the London derby.
Mount has started every league game but one this season but his former has significantly dipped in the past few weeks which has become more of a concern.
Against the Hammers, the England international failed to make things happen for the 90 minutes on the pitch and he was guilty of losing possession on 17 separate occasions, as per SofaScore.
As a result, some Blues fans have started questioning his importance from the starting XI and believe he should receive the same treatment like Christian Pulisic in the opening months of the season.
