Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has predicted the outcome of the forthcoming Champions League clash between Chelsea and Valencia at the Mestalla.
The Blues are currently tied on seven points with Ajax and Valencia in their Champions League group but they are placed below them due to the head-to-head statistic.
As a result, the upcoming clash with Los Che is crucial to their knockout hopes and they need to come up with the three points to put themselves in a strong position ahead of the final matchday.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Nicholas appreciated the good display from the Blues against the Cityzens but he is unsure whether the Blues can keep a clean sheet against Los Che with their fitness levels set to be tested.
He added that the Spanish side are better equipped to shut out the Blues for the second game running and backed Albert Celades’s side to register a 1-0 win which was the case at the Bridge in September.
Back then, Rodrigo scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute with a deft left-footed volley from a free-kick. Chelsea should have equalised but Ross Barkley squandered the chance from the penalty spot.
