Strongest Predicted Chelsea FC lineup (4-3-3) vs Newcastle United, Abraham and Tomori start

Chelsea FC have the opportunity to register a fifth straight victory across all competitions when they welcome Newcastle United for the weekend Premier League clash.

The west London side have been dealt with a couple of key injury setbacks over the international break but Frank Lampard still has a strong squad at his disposal to get the better of the Magpies.

A victory over Steve Bruce’s side could propel the Blues into the Champions League places, provided the other results during the gameweek go in their favour.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has played every minute of the current league season and he is bound to start in goal for the encounter. The defence should witness no changes from the recent gameweek with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger on the sidelines while Emerson is still lacking fitness. Reece James may have to settle for a bench role with Cesar Azpilicueta remaining the undisputed right-back choice for the league duties.

In the midfield, Jorginho has been a constant figure and the Italian should take up one of the available places. Alongside him, there could be starts for Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount. N’Golo Kante is out of the clash with a groin concern. There is the choice of playing Barkley in the centre of the park but Lampard may prefer to play Mount in a slightly deeper role from the number 10 position.

In the attack front, no changes are expected. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian have both flourished with goals and assists of late and they should take up the wide attacking positions. Tammy Abraham has already bagged nine goals in his breakthrough campaign with the Blues and he is expected to lead the line ahead of Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud.
